Didn't care for this book much, the drawing style is very dated and it doesn't seem to include much actual useful information. It's going to be a lifelong process that has no end and that's ok with me. "The Menace of the Herd," published under a pseudonym in 1943 (when Americans were not too interested in reading books by authors with Germanic names), is less well known than the two books just mentioned. I am a professional geologist and I have been using this book for over half a century. She has done an outstanding job with the organization and flow. I'll be reading more of his books. Was very helpful in preparing to work on a tugboat. It was fun for her to see someone else experiencing the same things.
