It is beautifully written, is eminently readable and is a keeper for any personal library. The name speaks for itself! With all of North America in one book, small range maps on each page PLUS more detailed maps in the back, this one has it all.. I'm not sure if I'll be reading the next book, but I might give it a try if I have extra time on my hands. The book is really small which is nice for travel or waiting at the Dr.'s office, it fits in a diaper bag or purse without taking up so much room. At the end of the day, his father offers him some choice words of wisdom; there will be a hat - and a life - meant just for him, based on what he most likes to do. Those who did enjoy won’t have a hard time reading to the end of the sequel to find out what happens to everyone, though they might be a tad disappointed, as well as somewhat surprised by the switchover from an action-filled suspense thriller to a slower-moving, more mystical Lost World fantasy..
