Martin Taylor was a librarian at the Imperial War Museum until his untimely death in 1996. He was also the author of a biography of Edmund Blunden, Overtones of War (Duckworth 1996).
The second part of the book consists of 10 pages describing every single control (with a sentence or two) and includes a very good section on SmartPhone differences and considerations. This book is really nice. Even if you aren't an expert at sewing, the sections on sewing basics, free motion stitching and a quick education on presser feet will get you started right away. This is an easy book for children to read. Be aware of that going in, your mileage may vary with the examples shown in the book.
Another frustration I had was specifically in Chapter 7, which dealt with writing your own scripts in Selenium RC. His son Lee writes in the Foreword: "He was able to piece together an image of the bird as it should have been. If you are familiar with the aesthetically pleasing nature of Lev Alburt’s later books, and you like those, then it is worth knowing that these volumes are on about the same par.
