This casebook is a user-friendly text organized to facilitate the study of tort law in the first year of law school. The text begins with an overview of the subject, being sure to point out distinctions between tort law and other types of law. It then covers intentional torts, negligence actions, and strict liability. The book includes classic cases as well as cases that are modern, interesting, and relevant to today's students. Sections from the Second and Third Restatement of Torts are interspersed throughout. The text is rich in the competing policy issues that drive and shape current tort law. The book also contains many problems and hypotheticals. As part of the Interactive Casebook Series, the text is available to students in both a hardbound and an electronic format. The electronic version is full of hot links that will take students wanting more to items of interest.
He is accompanied by the weak and timid chef Komatsu, who, inspired by Toriko's ambition, travels with him to improve his culinary skills and to find rare ingredients.. For example, the first two moves for white in the Sicilian are written as “e2-e4” and “Ng1-f3.” I found this horribly annoying and distracting, sometimes making the wrong piece moves on the board or in my head, because I tend to glance at the book to determine move orders. Years ago there was a cartoon in the New Yorker showing a well-to-do 40-something man saying to his friend, "I'm rather fortunate I have no parents, so social security is not a problem, and I have no children, so the environment is no problem." He could have saved a step simply by not having a brain - then neither would be a problem.
Now for the review itself. Great book excellent photos and descriptions. I just took the PE exam last week and along with the reference book, the practice exams helped prepare me tremendously!
