Erika Doss is Professor of Art History at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she also directs the American Studies Program. She is the author of several books, including Benton, Pollock, and the Politics of Modernism: From Regionalism to Abstract Expressionism.

In chapter 3, Position at Pisa, Galileo began his career as a scientist. After reading the book, I had a mixed feeling.

First of all, I won't call it a story book in the usual sense. I like it a lot. As someone who is picky with the manga I read, I was refreshed by the execution and the involvement of actual Scripture! The illustrations are also very well done (I'd argue better than most manga in my opinion), and the plot is engaging! I read it free and liked it so much that I purchased. The book consists of a very detailed history of mostly german or dutch slide rule makers. The author, Sue Tupper, interjects delightful stories about the Hamerstroms amidst the accounts of this couple's inspirational commitment to the environment and their work to save the Greater Prairie Chicken.

Kid and adult readers, alike, will be inspired by the story. I got this for my girlfriend. I think it's finally time to take the plunge! This book has great snack and meal recommendation
